Back in May, I finally accomplished one of my biggest life goals which was to finish school and graduate college. It has definitely been one hell of a journey getting that diploma. A journey filled with pain, heartache, self-doubt, all-nighters, too much coffee, missed outings, stress, and so many other words that describe a trying experience. However, through this journey in getting my education, I learned so much about who I am, how much I am capable of, about the people around me, and how to be the best version of myself and be someone who I can be proud of. It's taken 6 long years with a very rough start to get here but thankfully it's not where you start, it's where you finish. It's not how you go, it's how you land. Now..it's time for the next adventure!

A month before my graduation, my cousin, who is getting married later this year, and I did a joint photo shoot in San Francisco. Grad cap decorated and ready to go. Those who know me, know that this cap accurately depicts me and all the important things in my life.

We spent all day in the bay area and went to three locations: Crissy Field, Moss Beach, and Treasure Island.
Here are some of my favorites from our first stop, Crissy Field.

It was terrifying standing on the edge to take this picture.

Our next location was Moss beach and it was my favorite location of the three. Gorgeous Cypress Trees, ocean view, and so much room for wander. I loved it! My favorite pictures from the shoot are all from this location.

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love to read.
"All the reading she had done had given her a view of life they had never seen"
"Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home"
"She loves books. Loves the way they feel, the way they smell, loves the black letters marching across the white pages.. she goes places when she reads. I know all about that. When I'm reading, wherever I am, I'm always somewhere else."

Where in the world will I go next?

Shout out to my photographer Raymond from Passion Studio for capturing these stunning photos that so beautifully capture who I am, my personality, and this milestone in my life. The shoot was fun and very lighthearted as shown above. These pictures were my favorite!

FYI, capturing a cap tossing picture is not easy.
Neither is throwing the cap, standing normal, and smiling at the same time.

Contemplating how amazing this journey was during sunset at our third location, Treasure Island.

With these beautiful pictures, I created my graduation announcements and party invite through Shutterfly.
They always have discount codes, they came quickly, and it was very easy to create.

On May 17th, 2017, I took my FINAL final. It was an emotional moment, taking my last walk through campus as an undergraduate student. So much of my time at Sac State was spent in Tahoe Hall. I called my sister after and we both cried (hella dramatic, I know), and talked about my journey and how I finally made it here. Next up, graduation day!

Graduation wasn't until the evening so my friends took me to brunch to celebrate graduation day at Mimosa House.

Shyann and I en route to graduation!
We were the first graduating class at the new Golden 1 Center. It was chaos and hot. Very very hot.

It was a wild party and one that I will never forget. I live an extremely blessed life.

...and just like that, i'm a college graduate!
I don't know where life will take me next, but I know that with my education, my drive, and my amazing support system, I will be able to conquer anything.
With that being said..
I'm off to my next adventure!
